Mark joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1999 and is a Managing Director and Senior Financial Advisor in the firm’s Bellevue office. He is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. (When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis.) Mark received his B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1990 and holds an MBA in Finance. Prior to joining Merrill, he served as a Naval Flight Officer -- accumulating nearly 1,000 hours in F-14 and FA-18 fighter aircraft. He’s a graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). Mark resides in North Bend, WA with his wife, Melissa, and daughter Lauren.
Although he serves a diverse client base of individual investors, Mark has extensive experience managing the private wealth of affluent individuals and senior-level corporate executives. His area of focus is portfolio management -- in particular, dividend-growth strategies and income-producing investments.

*You have choices for what to do with your 401(k) or other type of plan-sponsored accounts. Depending on your financial circumstances, needs and goals, you may choose to rollover to an IRA or convert to a Roth IRA, rollover a 401(k) from a prior employer to a 401(k) at your new employer, take a distribution, or leave the account where it is. Each choice may offer different investment options and services, fees and expenses, withdrawal options, required minimum distributions, tax treatment (particularly with reference to employer stock), and provide different protection from creditors and legal judgments. These are complex choices and should be considered with care. For more information, please contact your Merrill Financial Advisor.
*Impact investing and/or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) managers may take into consideration factors beyond traditional financial information to select securities, which could result in relative investment performance deviating from other strategies or broad market benchmarks, depending on whether such sectors or investments are in or out of favor in the market. Further, ESG strategies may rely on certain values based criteria to eliminate exposures found in similar strategies or broad market benchmarks, which could also result in relative investment performance deviating.
