As a Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional he strives to serve his clients in an unbiased fashion providing both guidance and personal service. Donte Smith focuses on helping individuals and families across the country develop and implement financial strategies designed to grow, manage, preserve and properly transfer their wealth in supporting clients in reaching their ideal financial future.
Donte received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI while leading his college basketball team to a NCAA DII National Tournament appearance. After graduating Donte Smith worked for Steelcase, Inc., the world's largest office furniture manufacturer, for 10 years in many different roles. He began his financial services career as a Financial Advisor in 2014. Donte has served Greater Richmond Region investors, as well as investors in several other states for over 8 years and he looks forward to helping them meet their financial goals for many years to come.
Through Donte's practice he focuses on building long term, personal relationships with clients and their families. His process allows him to obtain an understanding his clients' goals and objectives, then analyze and develop strategies that are designed to help them achieve those goals over time.
Outside of the office, Donte is active coaching youth sports, helping develop and mentor young athletes, volunteering as a minister at his local Church and serving on the Board of Directors for the Black History Museum of Virginia. Donte Smith currently reside in Glen Allen, VA with his two sons Te'ven and Aiden.
