Why did I become a Financial Advisor?

My dad used to tell me, "Connor, the best time to start saving was yesterday. The next best time to start is today." Simple advice with profound implications. You see, I didn't study economics, take licensing exams, and become a financial advisor because that's what I thought I would become as a kid. I became a financial advisor because I saw the difference between those who took their finances seriously, and those who did not. My career as an advisor had ultimately led me to learn something very important -- that there's a difference between having money and being wealthy.

To me, wealth does not necessarily mean having a certain dollar amount in the bank. Wealth is the freedom to choose, the ability to spend time with your family, and the privilege of having slow mornings. Wealth is the time you spend doing the things you want to do. In other words, "Wealth Management" is not simply making money. It's offering a helping hand to let you do what you want to do. As your advisor, I will be a steward over the things you have worked for -- providing advice on everything from the financial markets to what I have learned as a father, son, and friend.
