Carolina Marquez joined Merrill in 2019 with over ten years of financial services experience. Over the course of her career, she has been a financial advisor with Edward Jones and CUNA Brokerage Services, where she addressed a wide range of wealth management needs for clients and their families. Today, she guides business owners, educators, and individuals in the oil and gas industry, including executives, geologists and oil field workers in virtually all phases on wealth management.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Carolina also provides strategic guidance to the Hispanic community with respect to wealth structuring, investment management and trust and estate planning services. Dedicated to providing exemplary service, she believes in open and frequent communication with clients, and her goal is to simplify the complexities of wealth management and help educate clients to make informed, well-thought-out decisions about their future.
To aid her in addressing their retirement planning needs, Carolina can draw on a full suite of retirement planning tools to help clients determine whether they are on track to retire, how and when they desire. For those nearing retirement, she can assist with 401(k) rollovers and can suggest asset allocations designed to provide a predictable income stream once they are no longer working.
Carolina earned her bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. She resides in Odessa with husband, Frank, and their three children, Clarissa, Jericho and Tobias. She is dedicated to serving her community as she serves as a board member for the House of the Sycamore Tree. Carolina also serves as Vice-President for the Permian Tennis Booster Club.
*You have choices for what to do with your 401(k) or other type of plan-sponsored accounts. Depending on your financial circumstances, needs and goals, you may choose to rollover to an IRA or convert to a Roth IRA, rollover a 401(k) from a prior employer to a 401(k) at your new employer, take a distribution, or leave the account where it is. Each choice may offer different investment options and services, fees and expenses, withdrawal options, required minimum distributions, tax treatment (particularly with reference to employer stock), and provide different protection from creditors and legal judgments. These are complex choices and should be considered with care. For more information, please contact your Merrill Financial Advisor.
