Trent’s connection to financial advice began at an early age. Having grown up around Merrill and the financial advice business, he saw firsthand the meaningful role an advisor can play in helping clients pursue their dreams, navigate uncertainty, and remain focused through life’s inevitable challenges. Those experiences inspired him to build a career centered on trusted relationships, disciplined planning, and dependable guidance.
Trent earned both his bachelor’s degree in finance and Master of Science in Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. Before becoming a Financial Advisor, he served as a Financial Solutions Advisor, where he developed experience assisting clients with their financial needs and helping them make informed decisions.
Trent believes the most effective financial strategy is one built around each client’s goals, values, and vision for the future. He works with clients across different life stages and financial circumstances, helping them bring the various pieces of their financial lives together. By combining personalized advice with the investment insights of Merrill and the banking and lending capabilities of Bank of America, Trent helps clients develop coordinated strategies intended to manage, grow, and preserve their wealth.
As a member of the SMU football program from 2020 through 2023, Trent developed the discipline, competitiveness, composure, and accountability that he brings to his advisory practice today. He balanced the demands of collegiate athletics with a rigorous finance education and was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team three consecutive years. That experience continues to shape his commitment to preparation, teamwork, and dependable service.
Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Trent now lives and works in Dallas. Outside the office, he enjoys playing golf, fishing, watching sports, and spending time outdoors. Whether working with clients or pursuing his personal interests, Trent brings a disciplined, hardworking, calm, and dependable approach to the relationships and responsibilities that matter most to him.
