Many of my clients have significant wealth and expectations. They demand and deserve a seasoned advisor who provides extensive knowledge, a fresh perspective and genuine care.
Profile

Keith is proud of the clients he serves and the manner in which he serves them. Spanning generations of families, they include an impressive clientele of women and men – active and retired corporate executives, business owners, physicians in Texas and ten other states.

With more than 30 years of experience, Keith was recognized for his accomplishments – and ability to help clients accomplish more – by Forbes on its “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” List in 2023 (Published on April 4, 2023 . Rankings based on data as of June 30, 2022).

“Successful people need a thoughtful, planning-based approach that accounts for their mindsets, motivations, and especially, areas that were ignored previously – estate planning strategies, tax minimization strategies and liability management. My mission is to help clients make smart financial decisions, take care of their loved ones and heirs, insulate their assets from creditors and life events, and when appropriate, amplify their charitable giving strategies. I believe clients are pleasantly surprised by the breadth and depth of my focus.

Unlike many advisors, Keith often encourages early discussions with clients that include their CPAs and attorneys. This allows him to listen, learn and ultimately deliver more comprehensive strategies that can create enduring benefits. Determined to provide “enlightened and engaging” wealth management, Keith also hosts educational meetings and dinners with entire families – offering guidance and reading materials that teach “lessons of managing wealth” to the next generation.

“Personal connections with clients are important to me,” Keith says. “I also connect clients to each other when appropriate – those who can support each during similar life challenges, for example. At Four Seasons Sports Club, Las Colinas and T-Bar T-Bar M Racquet Club, I also serve clients who share my interest in fitness.”

Based on a client’s retirement planning and education planning goals, Keith builds a financial strategy meant to mitigate risk and tax consequences. Accounting for a client’s investment timeline, risk tolerance and liquidity needs, he utilizes custom-managed portfolios of ETFs and mutual funds by selected managers carefully vetted by the firm’s Chief Investment Office. A practitioner of behavioral finance, Keith works to help clients avoid common behavior biases like “recency bias.”

Keith also scrutinizes both sides of clients’ balance sheets – assets and liabilities. Accordingly, he offers his clients ready access to residential, securities-based and commercial lending through Bank of America, N.A.

Given his decades as an advisor – with the hairline to prove it – Keith feels good that virtually all clients have remained with him through the volatility of 2000, 2008, 2020 and 2022. Keith began his career in 1989 at Merrill and spent 12 years at Salomon Smith Barney (now, Morgan Stanley) before returning to Merrill in 2006.

Keith holds a BBA in Finance from George Washington University and spent a semester studying economics and philosophy at the London School of Economics. He has also earned industry credentials that reflect his desire to bring clients an extra measure of knowledge – from the planning stage to the implementation of their financial strategies. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CFP®
certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation from the Investments & Wealth Institute.

An avid tennis player and novice golfer ,  Keith lives in north Dallas with his wife, Sunghun, and their baby daughter. When a babysitter is available, they savor local restaurants and live music performances . They also support the Southeast Texas Food Bank, The Dallas Tennis Association Child Program, and the CC Young Senior Center where Keith formerly served on the Board of Directors.

Data provided by SHOOK® Research, LLC. Data as of 6/30/22. Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors ranking was developed by SHOOK
Research and is based on in-person, virtual, and telephone due diligence meetings to measure best practices, client retention, industry
experience, credentials, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, such as: assets under management
and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and
advisors rarely have audited performance reports. SHOOK’s research and rankings provide opinions intended to help investors choose
