Rob Putz, a Senior Vice President; Wealth Management Advisor began his financial services career at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1998. Rob works with families and closely held businesses to assist in the organization and management of their financial matters. He and his team pride themselves in building personal relationships with clients. By cultivating relationships, he is able to develop individualized strategies, focusing on client’s goals and long-term objectives. He also focuses on private money management, structured investments, private placements, hedge funds, and commodity trading advisors. Rob collaborates with our commercial bankers, client’s attorneys and certified public accountants in their lending, estate, and tax planning needs to take an all-inclusive approach to client’s financial needs.
Rob holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation through the Investments & Wealth Institute™ and taught in conjunction with the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. Rob also added the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation from the College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp. He is a member of the Merrill Special Needs Advisory Network and affiliated with the Merrill Christian Focus Group. In 2019, Rob earned the National Association of Plan Advisors, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® designation, as well as internal designation of Retirement Benefits Consultant, to further his focus in working with small and middle market, defined contribution plans.
Rob was recently inducted to serve on the local board of advisors of the Salvation Army. Other civic interests have included leadership positions in the Bryan ISD Education Foundation, 12th Man Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, and the Texas Agricultural Aviation Association (past president). He also holds memberships and enjoys participation with the Texas Aggie Band Association, Brazos County A&M Club (past president), American Bonanza Society, and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, as well as the Experimental Aircraft Association. Rob is a proud 1983 graduate of Texas A&M University. Rob and his wife, Rhonda, are active members of Christ Church in College Station, Texas.
