“If a client can benefit from me attending a meeting, I’m there – to interpret ‘legal-ese, accounting-ese’ and orchestrate next steps,” Jamin says. “I also show clients different scenarios, and how each might impact their financial picture. Whether I help a top executive optimize compensation, streamline the financial needs of a business owner, or sit with a widow after their husband passed, developing a personal connection and knowing I’ve helped means the world to me.”
When it comes to investing, Jamin creates each client’s portfolio based on their goals, risk tolerance, investment timeline, liquidity needs and other personal preferences. He encourages clients if they have questions, to visit his office or call anytime. Jamin’s background also reminds him to communicate clearly with clients – simplifying explanations, so that clients can understand and follow the strategy they’ve agreed upon.
Having previously been a business owner, Jamin knows the challenges of running a business, owning property, and keeping pace with the daily rigor of serving customers, caring for employees and managing finances. He works closely with business owners to create a strategic plan that can help them identify, prioritize and pursue their goals – whether they’d like to sell their enterprise or pass it along.
Jamin joined Merrill in 2014 after spending five years at Edward Jones as a financial advisor. He began his financial services career in 2007 at Fidelity Investments. Prior to that, he served in the United States Navy for eight years as an Operation Specialist. Bringing this discipline and training to each relationship, he feels privileged to assist clients whose values and achievements he admires.
A dedicated family man, Jamin resides in Aiken where he enjoys free time with his wife and five children.
