Alena Ilyushyna

Alena Ilyushyna joined Merrill Wealth Management in 2024.  She has over 10 years of experience at Merrill, working with professional practice clients, nonprofit organizations, and high net worth families. She guides clients across various investment products, portfolio strategies, and appropriate financial goals, depending on their life stage and their vision for the lifestyle and legacy they want to create.

As a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, Alena prioritizes achieving strong portfolio performance while managing market risk. She will suggest investment allocations suitable for the current market conditions, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds or a custom portfolio. She can also provide access to the market insights from Merrill, as well as banking convenience and lending solutions of Bank of America.  Given Alena’s experience in the IT sector, she has special interest in helping clients to navigate investments in the innovative market niches and themes poised to drive economic growth in the next few years - such as generative AI, internet-of-things, cloud-based computing, electric vehicles.

Alena’s favorite part of her role is building genuine and long-term relationships with her clients. She acts as their trusted and dedicated partner, as they navigate the market and pursue their financial goals.

As a first-generation American, she is deeply committed to empowering others to apply their talents and create a better planet for all. She is a long-time supporter of environmental causes, animal welfare, and the arts. She served multiple terms on the Lubbock Symphony Board of Directors in various capacities and performed with the orchestra.

Alena earned her Bachelors of Science and her Masters of Science at Belarus State Economic University. She also has the CFA^® designation, the CAIA^SM designation and is a member of Mensa International.
