Scott is a dedicated financial services veteran who started in the business in 1991. He “cut his teeth” at other firms before joining Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1996. For 17 years, he served as the Resident Director for his Merrill office- mentoring and showing other advisors how to serve the best interests of clients. Today, Scott leads a team of experienced advisors and support staff that assists a select circle of referred clients and generations of their families.
A self-described “down-to-earth” advisor, Scott believes that quality time spent with his clients is critical to establishing trusted relationships. He explains, “Superior wealth management demands our close personal attention to clients, our genuine familiarity with them, and their understanding of strategies we craft on their behalf. That's why we listen and teach. Client education is essential to our offering.”
As a Senior Portfolio Advisor, Scott can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis with custom investment strategies, selecting from a wide range of Merrill model portfolios and third-party investment strategies.
Scott holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™, CRPC™ and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, CPFATM designations. He is committed to helping clients enhance their retirement lifestyles. With admirations for clients' years of saving and sacrifice, Scott formulates distribution strategies that often include reliable income streams.
Having been a scholarship college athlete at Rutgers University, Scott knows that persistence and passion are cornerstones of success. To that point, he is diligent in making clients' goals his own-and addressing their challenges with a blend of often-complex strategies in which he collaborates with internal specialists and clients’ CPAs and attorneys.
Scott enjoys family time with his wife, Laura, and their two teenage children-at home in Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania, and at their lake “camp” in Maine where Scott enjoys teaching family and friends how to fish.
I follow the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities we serve. This drives my interest in spending time volunteering with organizations in our community.
Communication is instrumental to managing life's challenges. That's why I work to engage you and your family in the financial decision-making process. Communicating openly with family members on the sometimes-difficult subject of wealth can be a challenge. I can help facilitate these discussions and offer personalized financial strategies designed to educate the younger generation about how assets may be invested.
