As a Merrill Financial Advisor, Suzanne Hayes brings more than four decades of experience to her passion for crafting common-sense real-world financial strategies that help high net worth families, small businesses and organizations accumulate and manage wealth in ways designed to serve their unique goals. She especially enjoys offering investment planning services to individuals and couples who are tackling the challenges of providing for their own prosperous retirement, while still creating a legacy for multiple generations or charities.

Suzanne is a Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor in the Chambersburg, Pennsylvania office of Merrill. Her career has been concentrated in Hagerstown, Maryland and the surrounding tri-state area. She began in the Hagerstown branch of Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1975 and continued to build her clientele with several successor firms. In October 2006, she transferred to Merrill because it is important to her to provide access to financial services and resources of high quality and national/international scope for the area that has been her lifelong home.

Suzanne has been a tireless advocate for the quality of life in the Hagerstown-Washington County area, serving on non-profit boards and volunteering with various organizations. She is currently a member of the Board of the Brook Lane Foundation.  She serves on the Agricultural Preservation Advisory Committee for Washington County, Maryland. Her other previous service spans organizations as diverse as the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission, the Washington County Free Library and the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She and her family live on and farm 200 acres south of Hagerstown.
