Patrick J. Buettner has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. Licensed in 1987, Patrick joined Dean Witter as a Financial Advisor in 1988 and was named Associate Vice President within two years. He joined Advest as a Vice President of Investments in 1995 which was acquired by Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2006. His focus is on developing strategies and advice for individuals, families and businesses by understanding their short and long-term goals. Patrick's clientele come from all walks of life; he advises retirees, business owners, athletes, attorneys, doctors, teachers and anyone looking to improve their financial well-being. He uses his vast experience and knowledge to focus on guiding clients through the retirement process.
He holds a degree in Finance from Canisius College and an AAMSTM designation from the College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp. While at Advest, Patrick attended the Harvard Institute- a prestigious and cutting edge think tank at Harvard University. There he learned new and leading edge techniques in managing money. In 1995 he became a Portfolio Manager in the Advest Managed Portfolios program. In 2000 he was elevated to the role of Senior Portfolio Manager.
Patrick was President of the Amherst North Rotary in 2000 and 2001. While there he was awarded one of Rotary International's finest honors, the Paul Harris Award.
Today Patrick J. Buettner is a Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, operating out of the Williamsville, NY office. He is also a Portfolio Manager who can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis his own Personalized or Defined Strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. He resides in Clarence, NY with his wife Rhonda and their three sons.
