What Matters Most
“Most importantly, I’ve cultivated a skill for listening. Listening to where a potential client feels he/she needs to be in five, ten, thirty years…Listening for risk tolerances and comfort levels…And listening to my strategic partners in discovering new ways to improve my service platform and keep abreast of new developments from Washington, Wall Street and Main Street. When I choose a practitioner, I look for someone who is a product of his or her practice. I became such a “product” when I realized that becoming totally immersed in a trade is inevitable when one truly enjoys their craft.
“I believe investors should not be making important financial decisions in a vacuum and their best decisions result from organized collaboration among highly qualified, credentialed advisors. Before a wealth management decision is made, a relationship is required. I have collaborated with each of my clients, their accountants, attorneys, strategists, advisors and for that matter, anyone with a hand in their financial well-being. A collaboration involves identifying objectives, establishing a plan and working together to assess and maintain the result of well informed decisions. Having a strong core value system has placed me in the advantaged position of organizing technicians, whether they be attorneys or accountants, in a committee to best serve the affluent client.”

I follow the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities we serve. This drives my interest in spending time volunteering with organizations in our community.
My mission, first and foremost, is to understand you and what matters most to you. Armed with that information I can ask thoughtful questions -- listening carefully, then understanding in detail where your wealth stands today and where you'd like it to be tomorrow. I help you design and implement a personalized plan intended to help you and your family pursue financial goals while helping manage investment risk. My approach is to focus on potential solutions that can help turn goals into reality.
