The Staten Island Merrill Lynch Office opened in March of 1977, located at the Greenwich shopping Center on Arthur Kill Road. There was a total of five Financial Consultants, one Producing Manager, two Administrative Assistants, and one in Operations. The Staten Island office at the time was a satellite office of the Brooklyn office. The Staten Island office continued to grow and in March of 1982 the office relocated to 2555 Richmond Avenue. With the closing of the Brooklyn office in October of 1988, Staten Island now reports to World Financial Center, today know as SD Financial Center office. With the Staten Island Office continuing to grow, in November of 1999, the office moved to its current location of 900 South Avenue.
