Shilin Yin, CFP®, has been advising families and businesses for over a decade. She began her career at Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor Associate in 2012 and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2013. Shilin is supported by a team in investments, estate planning services, intergenerational wealth transfer, philanthropy, and lending. She focuses her practice on helping clients grow and preserve their wealth through challenging economic and market cycles and major life events.

Shilin employs a disciplined and sustainable process that prioritizes prudent risk management, long-term growth, intelligent planning, tax efficiency and transparency. In addition to traditional portfolio management, Shilin is trained to provide a broad-based range of alternative investments which covers the main areas of hedge funds, private equity, commodities, real estate, and managed futures.

Shilin is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and holds the CFP® mark, CIMA®, CPWA®, and CRPC™ designations. She is a graduate of Temple University and holds an MBA in International Business from California State University. Shilin lives with her husband Brett in Mariaville, NY.
