Following in the footsteps of her mother, Jill, and walking beside her now, Michelle joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2014. Michelle earned a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and graduated from New York Law School, focusing her studies on estate planning and tax law. (*Michelle does not provide tax or legal advice in her role at Merrill.)
As a financial advisor, Michelle looks through the lens of a client’s experience with wealth, as well as their situations and aspirations. After helping to clarify clients’ goals, she and Jill build tailored strategies that seek to mitigate risk and help clients reach important milestones and long-term objectives. Helping clients anticipate likely and unlikely circumstances is important to Michelle. She looks to be the thread that ties generations of clients together. Often in tandem with clients’ attorneys, she helps align estate planning strategies and works to keep everyone focused and on the same page.
As a Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Michelle can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis her own Personalized or Defined Strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies.
Michelle is also devoted to helping clients understand where they stand financially, what they own, and why. Her devotion to educating clients extends to the public at large. She has been a frequent keynote speaker – talking to women’s groups, college audiences, and high school students on a variety of financial topics. Michelle welcomes the opportunity to provide financial education and explain wealth management planning in a variety of settings. Michelle grew up on Long Island and resides in downtown Manhattan with her husband, Eric, and their daughter. When time allows, Michelle plays golf, explores the city’s museums and shows, and practices Pilates with her mother.
