Anna graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Economics from Smith College. She was an equity and fixed income structured products specialist on Wall Street for the next nine years. She stepped away from finance to raise her three sons in Manhattan. Anna has returned to finance after earning a diploma in Financial Planning from New York University and becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ Professional.  As such, Anna adheres to a planning process which involves understanding financial and personal circumstances, identifying and prioritizing goals, analyzing the current course of action and potential alternatives, developing a wealth management plan, and finally, implementing and overseeing the plan.

During her time away from the work force, Anna indulged her love of the arts, winning a Tony Award for co-producing LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT on Broadway, producing the feature film CARRY ME HOME for Showtime Networks, sitting on the Board of The Private Theater and studying non-fiction writing at Columbia University. She also found time to serve on the Development Committee at Trinity School during the last ten years, utilizing her fund-raising skills for the benefit of her children’s K-12 private school.
In keeping with the deep-seated Merrill tradition of philanthropy, Anna is active in the following non-profit organizations: RAINN, Hidden Water, FamilyKind, and Savvy Ladies. Anna lives in Manhattan with her three sons and spends time in her home town, San Diego, California.
