Jessica focuses on developing and implementing customized strategies that enable clients to both optimize the wealth they have already achieved and proactively align their financial lives with future goals. In doing so, she strives to understand each client’s unique situation, incorporating behavioral finance to support her clients in developing effective solutions and making informed decisions.
As a Portfolio Manager, Jessica can help clients pursue their objectives by managing, on a discretionary basis, her own Personalized or Defined Strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. She works in collaboration with her clients’ legal and tax advisers to offer estate planning services and address tax minimization issues. She also supports entrepreneurs and small businesses in the areas of retirement plans, cash management, and financing.
Jessica earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. in 2007 and the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorTM designation in 2008. In 2019, she was designated a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® for retirement plans.
Jessica joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2005 after beginning her career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in 2003. Her prior work experience includes working as a Strategic Marketing Manager at Atlantic Records and a Strategy Consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.
An advocate for financial literacy, Jessica served as a long-time volunteer for Working in Support of Education, which develops programs to educate high school students about personal finance and the business world. She has been a featured speaker on personal finance for student organizations at Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, and the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Jessica lives with her son in Brooklyn, NY.
