Brian O’Connor delivers high-impact wealth strategy and disciplined guidance to a diverse and accomplished group of clients, including business owners, senior executives, pro athletes, multi-generational families, and driven professionals. Leveraging his experience and the resources of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, he develops integrated, planning-based approaches to help clients navigate complex decisions and changing market conditions.
Brian helps align the core elements of a client’s financial life—investment management, retirement planning, cash management, and trust and estate planning strategies—into a coordinated, long-term framework.
Raised in Upstate New York, Brian joined the Thundering Herd in 2025 as a third-generation Merrill Lynch financial advisor, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry. He is also a member of The O'Connor, Hazelton, Coleman, Barnes & Curto Team, an established group of seasoned and next-generation wealth partners.
Prior to joining Merrill, Brian worked with a global asset manager as an investment wholesaler covering Northern California and Nevada. In that role, he partnered with financial advisors to deliver market and economic perspectives, support portfolio construction discussions, and translate fast-moving conditions into practical guidance. This hands‑on work sharpened Brian’s analytical lens, broadened his understanding of global markets, and reinforced his commitment to providing thoughtful, client‑focused financial advice. Brian earned a B.S. in Finance from the Providence College School of Business (2017) and completed the Investment Management Analyst certificate program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (2021).
Outside of the office, Brian enjoys staying active, traveling, skiing, and spending time with friends and family. He is also an avid basketball fan, with a particular appreciation for the Providence College Friars.

As a third‑generation Merrill Lynch advisor, I am a wealth partner and member of The O'Connor, Hazelton, Coleman, Barnes & Curto Team —an established, highly successful group of advisors complemented by next‑generation leadership, built for continuity, depth, and the evolving needs of sophisticated clients.
I grew up around people who valued hard work, long-term thinking, and taking care of others—and those same values are what I see reflected in this team's decades of service.
My role is to carry that forward while adding something new: a modern, energetic approach shaped by my background in sales and relationship building. I thrive in environments where people matter, communication is clear, and clients feel supported at every step—and that's exactly the culture I'm helping strengthen here.
I'm excited to blend fresh perspective with established expertise to help our team—and our clients—continue growing with intention.
