Kevin Lund starts new client relationships with a question that often gets overlooked: What matters most?

Based out of Merrill's office in Manhattan, Kevin advises individuals, families, and business owners across the country whose financial lives have grown more complex than investment management alone can address. Some are managing significant wealth tied to a single company or asset. Others are approaching a major transition or coordinating wealth across generations.
His approach is to take a total balance sheet view by looking at assets, liabilities, liquidity, income, concentrated or illiquid holdings, tax exposure, and estate structure together rather than in isolation. That broader perspective often reveals opportunities a narrower lens would miss.
Most of Kevin's clients already have a CPA, an estate attorney, and other advisors they trust. What they often do not have is someone holding the full picture and making sure those conversations are moving in the same direction. That is a core part of what Kevin and his team do: helping to ensure that decisions across every advisor add up to a coherent strategy rather than a collection of good ideas that do not fully connect.
Kevin joined Merrill in 2016 after graduating from the University of Arizona, beginning his career in the firm's Silicon Valley office, where he grew up. He now lives in Manhattan. Outside the office, he enjoys staying active, golfing, spending time with family, and supporting initiatives focused on financial literacy and underserved communities in New York City.
