“Every individual has unique goals, and I enjoy creating steps to pursue what each client cares about.” Stephen is co-founder of the Nofs Oprinski Group, and lead investment strategist.   Stephen focuses on providing wealth management strategies for uniquely successful families, business owners, physicians, and non-profit organizations. He works closely with research analysts and portfolio managers to provide investment leadership and guidance based on strategic, tactical asset allocation* and portfolio construction. He supports these collaborations within the framework of The Nofs Oprinski Group’s Goals-Based Investing approach. Stephen attended Eastern Michigan University where he accepted a four-year full athletic scholarship for football, and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  After graduation, Stephen worked within the Department of Justice in various capacities and positions for 10 years. He was named Officer/ Agent of the Year in 1991 within his department. He was also a lead firearms instructor, and member of the Special Operation Response Team.  Stephen later received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) prior to joining Merrill in 2000, at the Farmington Hills Branch.  In 2006, Stephen was named the Resident Director of the Clinton Township Merrill Branch location, a position he held until 2021.  Stephen continues his passion of serving his clients in his role as a Senior Financial Advisor, and First Vice President with the firm.
