Cory started his career in the professional services industry in 2018 at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), as part of the Consumer Industrial Products & Services group. In that same year, Cory earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Cory went on to achieve a manager title in his time at PwC, and focused on tax compliance and tax provisions for large public companies. Outside of client work, Cory was also heavily involved in technology implementation, mentoring staff, and market trainings.
Cory is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, where as a student-athlete he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration in 2017. During his time on the baseball team, Cory was a team captain and 2-year starting catcher. He subsequently earned a Masters in Accounting, with a concentration on Tax Consulting, from the University of Virginia in 2018.
Cory currently resides in Annapolis. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional who holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation, as well as the series 7 FINRA and series 66 NASAA registrations. He volunteers as a member of the Annapolis/Anne Arundel Financial Education Coalition, which works to increase financial education among local residents, and the Maryland Society of Accounting & Tax Professionals, which helps connect accounting professionals. In his free time, Cory enjoys golfing, playing basketball, boating and listening to podcasts.
