David joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2011 and has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. As a former Investment Specialist, he brings more than 27 years of consulting experience working with private individuals, business owners, corporate retirement plans, and nonprofit organizations. He has also been a featured speaker at industry conferences hosted by the Financial Planning Association and the Investment Management Consultants Association.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Rhode Island. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® CFP® certification and Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, the latter earned in collaboration with the Investments & Wealth Institute™ and the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business. He places a strong emphasis on ongoing education and professional development as a cornerstone of delivering advice in clients’ best interests.
Born and raised on the South Shore, David resides in Scituate, Massachusetts with his wife Beth and their four children. He remains actively involved in the community and has held numerous leadership roles, including Trustee for South Shore Hospital, member of the Government Affairs Committee for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, and former Chairman of the Town of Scituate Capital Planning Committee, Public Building Commission, School Building Committee, and South Shore Elder Services Board of Directors. He has also volunteered as a youth hockey coach with the South Shore Seahawks and Boston Junior Terriers, as well as a baseball coach for Scituate Little League. Outside of the office, David enjoys spending time with his family, boating, fishing, skiing, and golfing
