Ours is not a typical approach, because we do not serve "typical" clients. They include successful, often multi-generational families who have either created significant wealth, or are stewards of the fortunes built by others. Most often, they are referred to us by other clients, or attorneys and accountants who are familiar with our approach.
A hallmark of our approach is the close nature of the relationships we have with clients. We recognize clients' voices when they call, as well as their comfort with risk. We know what keeps clients up at night and what gets them up each morning. Above all, we know that both communication and performance matter to clients, and both are why we believe they choose us.
Many clients come to us looking for a trusted advisor whom they have read or heard about. Despite their wealth, many don't have a financial strategy or estate plan. We look to connect the dots in clients' complex financial lives with highly customized, tax-efficient strategies, in concert with their other advisors. We also aim to bring both spouses to the table, to agree on goals and concerns.
By staying in frequent contact, we can respond to clients' urgent needs as well as shifts in what they would like to accomplish long term. Being proactive also reflects our commitment – to educate clients on where they stand, what they own, and the impact of decisions on intergenerational wealth.
