I joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor in 2002 because I enjoy working with successful people who are trying to achieve peace and harmony in their financial lives. I do this for their own sake as well as for the family and friends that depend on them.
I have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc as well as the Chartered SRI Counselor™ designation because I believe the most well intentioned professionals care about staying educated and informed about all things related to their client’s financial life.
I work directly with successful individuals who believe in the value of high-quality service, integrity, and dedication in their Financial Advisor. They care about their goals and are curious about ways to improve their investments. They also believe in a goal-oriented wealth planning approach, where needs are first identified, and customized strategies are offered that best meet their needs.
Prior to becoming a Wealth Management Advisor, I worked as a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton advising financial institutions, a corporate strategist at Morgan Stanley Asset Management, and a Vice President of Global Corporate Strategy at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. All of my experiences gave me a distinct and varied base of knowledge. So in 2002, I decided to switch my focus and apply my skills to real people who need real help.
Happily, I obtained a B.S. cum laude in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business in 1992 not realizing one day how valuable it would be in my chosen profession, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1997. I also completed the executive course "Pensions and Investment Management" in 2000 at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. I have a passion for travel. My goal which I have succeeded in so far, is to travel to more countries than my age (51+ countries so far), and I am conversant (in varying degrees of fluency) in six languages: English, Chinese (Hokkien dialect similar to Taiwanese), Spanish, Italian, Malay, and Thai. I play Badminton competitively (Division C/III level) as well as enjoy hiking, biking, pilates and barre, and this helps keep me physically and mentally at my best.
*Merrill, its affiliates, and financial advisors do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. You should consult your legal and/or tax advisors before making any financial decisions.
My mission, first and foremost, is to understand you and what matters most to you. Armed with that information I can ask thoughtful questions -- listening carefully, then understanding in detail where your wealth stands today and where you'd like it to be tomorrow. I help you design and implement a personalized plan intended to help you and your family pursue financial goals while helping manage investment risk. My approach is to focus on potential solutions that can help turn goals into reality.
