I am a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. My wife, Brigette Walker Martin, and I have four children (three girls and one son). I am an active member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and past Vestry member holding the offices of Junior Warden, Senior Warden and Finance Committee Member of the church. Currently I am serving as a board member of the Chennault International Airport Authority. Big game hunting is my biggest passion; I sincerely love and respect the great outdoors. I am a 1980 graduate of Louisiana State University Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. I joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2012. With over thirty years of experience in operational and accounting management and ownership within the auto and heavy truck dealership environment, I have a diverse business background which allows me to have the insight into what business owners want and need in structuring their wealth management, estate and business financial concerns.
I follow the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities we serve. This drives my interest in spending time volunteering with organizations in our community.
As a Merrill Senior Financial Advisor, I offer financial recommendations for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. My goal is to thoroughly understand the clients' financial priorities so that I may earn their trust. I do this by listening to the client to fully understand their current situation and future objectives as well as potential concerns. I then create customized financial strategies designed to help them achieve their financial and life goals.
