We know our clients exceedingly well. In fact, due to the nature of our relationships, we feel like family advisors, as much as financial advisors. We believe that says more about what clients can expect than we could say ourselves.
Welcome

At The Pierce Madej Group, we do not define clients by the value of their assets – but by their priorities, passions and aspirations. Spanning various life stages, professions, and the wealth continuum, many are in their peak earning years or nearing a well-deserved retirement.

Who do we serve? Successful attorneys, physicians, dentists, business owners (some with 401k plans) and generations of families residing in Chicago, throughout Illinois, and more than 25 other states. Many longtime clients have become our close friends.

While distinct in their talents and achievements, our typical clients come to us by way of referral, with money and lives in motion and little time to manage the details. Often a promotion or other life event creates the need for a more nuanced wealth management strategy.

As our clients will tell you, we don’t make “cookie cutter” assumptions. Instead, we make time to appreciate what’s on their minds and in their hearts. Working closely with both spouses, we ask about their children’s college ambitions and careers, for example, or an elderly parent – helping ensure that recommendations address the needs of multiple stakeholders in the short- and long-term.

Put simply, we listen to clients like a friend, and care for them like family. A hallmark of our approach is the comprehensive planning process that initiates each client relationship and continues over time.

To learn, we ask questions – some expected, some not: “How is money handled in your family? What types of financial lessons have you taught your children? Who are you responsible for? What’s important to you? If money were no object, what would you be doing? What’s your biggest investment win and loss? What role would you like us to play?”

Based on direction for asset allocation from our Chief Investment Office – and our understanding of each client’s’ comfort with risk, investment timeline, liquidity needs and goals – we will formulate a client’s portfolio with what may include common stocks, ETFs, variable annuities and CDs (for income), and alternative investments* (hedge funds, real estate and other non-correlated assets).

Whether we create a growth-oriented portfolio for a younger client or a “retirement paycheck” portfolio with predictable distributions for another, we are tax-sensitive and account for several factors including inflation, interest rates and rising health care costs.

To align tax minimization and estate planning strategies, we can coordinate with clients’ CPAs and attorneys. We can also introduce our firm’s trust specialists and offer residential and securities-based lending, as well as practice management solutions for physicians through Bank of America. For business owners, we assist with capital management accounts and other solutions that can optimize cash flow.

Our clients’ achievements and values have led to financial and personal success. Through the years, we’ve shared their best and worst days, at wedding and anniversary parties, and at funerals. We are proud to help manage the wealth of clients who inspire our best efforts – responsibly and in the most respectful manner.
