Matt Hartnett joined Merrill after completing his education at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
Matt uses a goals-based wealth management approach that transcends traditional portfolio strategies to enable clients to achieve personally meaningful outcomes. With this approach, he helps clients define meaningful goals and priorities, optimize resources and choose effective strategies. Over time, Matt works with clients to make adjustments that help keep clients moving toward these important personal goals. For a corporate executive, this approach is especially powerful in balancing the risks and rewards of concentrated stock positions.
In 2010, Matt successfully completed the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ program and in 2011, attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification – a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
He lives in Midtown Atlanta, with his wife Brittany. He also served on the Board of Directors for Bright Futures Atlanta, an organization serving middle and high school students in West Atlanta.
My mission, first and foremost, is to understand you and what matters most to you. Armed with that information I can ask thoughtful questions -- listening carefully, then understanding in detail where your wealth stands today and where you'd like it to be tomorrow. I help you design and implement a personalized plan intended to help you and your family pursue financial goals while helping manage investment risk. My approach is to focus on potential solutions that can help turn goals into reality.
