Diego Urrutia is a Financial Advisor and Senior Vice President in the Palm Beach office of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

In this role, Mr. Urrutia delivers thoughtful advice and guidance, helping ultra-high net worth individuals and their families build, preserve, and manage their wealth for themselves and future generations. He works closely with his clients to gain an understanding of their personal financial goals. From there, he designs strategies that are tailored to address each client’s unique needs – from providing access to everyday banking services to tax-aware borrowing opportunities from Bank of America, long-term investment planning and philanthropic giving. Prior to Merrill, Mr. Urrutia was a Banker in the Palm Beach office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

Preceding his role in Wealth Management, Mr. Urrutia was a founder and the Chief Commercial Officer at Loadsmart, a technology logistics startup tasked with reinventing the $700 billion truckload shipping industry. Prior to that, he served as an Executive Director for the J.P. Morgan Investment Bank in New York, where he headed a Cross-Asset Structured Investments business and was an active member of the Sales & Marketing Executive Committee.

Mr. Urrutia received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He is a former auxiliary New York Police Officer, and avid kite surfer, and an equestrian enthusiast. He holds a Series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations.
