Douglas I. Schwartz, CFP^®, CAIA^®, CPFA, is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor. He is also a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. Douglas has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ CFP^® certification, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst^SM (CAIA^®) and, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designations as well as having passed the Bar Exams of the States of Ohio and Florida, along with Federal Bar Exams in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Douglas came to Banc of America Investment Services in 2006 from Lehman Brothers, where he was a Financial Advisor since 2002. Douglas assists both business owners and individuals in identifying their investment goals, creating appropriate strategies and implementing them. He manages risk and return via a core and satellite discipline, utilizing professional money managers and non-correlated asset classes.

Douglas graduated from Cornell University’s Johnson School with a Master of Business Administration, Tulane University School of Law with a Juris Doctor, Earlham College with a Bachelor of Arts and Deerfield Academy. He practiced law from 1996 through 2001.

Douglas currently resides in Miami Beach with his wife and two sons.
