Empowering Your Financial Decisions
Financial decisions can feel overwhelming, but they don’t have to be. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition or simply looking to take control of your financial future, having a clear plan can provide confidence and direction. My goal is to make financial planning approachable, personalized, and empowering—helping you move forward with clarity and security.
Below, you’ll find an overview of my two‑appointment process and why financial planning is an essential step toward achieving your long‑term goals.
Meet Sam
With a deep background in finance, I developed a passion for investing early on. Over time, I realized I wanted a career that allowed for deeper personal connections, which ultimately led me to become a financial advisor. There’s immense satisfaction in helping clients move from uncertainty to confidence and genuine excitement about their financial futures.
Giving back to the community is also an important part of my life. I dedicate more than 50 volunteer hours each year and serve on nonprofit boards, including The Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge. As an advocate for the environment and an active lifestyle, I find balance and energy through activities like hiking with my family, tennis, padel, and golf.
My 2‑Step financial planning process
I follow a simple, structured approach to help you build a clear and personalized financial plan. Here's what to expect:
Step 1: Discovery Call (20–30 minutes)
We'll start with a short conversation focused on understanding what matters most to you. This includes your goals—whether that's retiring at a certain age, buying a home, planning for a child's education, or something else entirely.
We'll also review your current financial picture, including your 401(k), brokerage or investment accounts, savings, and other assets. Cash flow is another key area, so we'll walk through your income, spending, and ongoing financial commitments.
To elp hensure your plan aligns with your preferences, I'll ask about your comfort with investment risk. Most importantly, this call is your opportunity to tell me what you value, what concerns you, and any specific areas you'd like us to focus on in your plan.
Step 2: Planning Review (In Person or Virtual)
Our second meeting can take place at your home or office, at our branch at 701 Brickell Avenue, or virtually via Webex, Teams, or Zoom—whatever works best for you.
During this session, we'll take a deeper dive into your financial plan. We'll assess where you stand relative to your goals and walk through recommendations designed to keep you on track. We'll also incorporate Merrill's Chief Investment Office Capital Market Assumptions to help project your long‑term wealth trajectory.
By the end of this meeting, you'll have a clear and actionable roadmap for your financial future.
