Dr. Linda Weitz-Stone is a Wealth Management Advisor and Vice President for Merrill in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. She holds the Certified Portfolio Manager designation, and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, and the Accredited Domestic Partnership AdvisorTM designation. She is also a Sports and Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorTM designee.
Linda is on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers. She is a specially qualified Senior Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing her own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. Senior Portfolio Managers are provided a high degree of flexibility in constructing portfolios and selecting securities. When servicing clients through the Firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Senior Portfolio Manager may manage her strategies on a discretionary basis. After meeting certain additional requirements, a Senior Portfolio Manager may use her own strategies to manage the assets of clients working with other Merrill Advisors.
Linda has been working in the financial services industry for over 30 years. She prides herself on her integrity and personal commitment to clients. She enjoys working with them while assisting them in pursuing their individual financial goals and most importantly preparing them for, and helping them maintain, a comfortable retirement. Linda began her career on Wall Street soon after graduating high school. During her tenure in the industry, she has made it one of her primary goals to consistently develop her professional and educational credentials. Linda has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University. She also has an MBA Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University. Linda and her husband live in Hollywood Florida. She has three children and three grandchildren. Linda enjoys outings with her family, biking, skiing and international travel.
