Purchasing his first stock when he was 13 years old and reading The Wall Street Journal since high school, Bobby Podolsky has always been “a student of the markets.” Following his passion, Bobby began his financial services career in 1981 – working at Merrill and eventually Shearson Lehman Brothers, where he developed a rich background in operations and investing.
Since joining Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2016, Bobby has shared his extensive knowledge with a loyal circle of clients for whom an advisor’s experience, insights and integrity are critical components of a valued wealth management relationship. In addition to longtime clients he’s served for decades, Bobby also assists individuals who’ve been referred by accountants and attorneys when facing difficult transitions, including divorce or the loss of a loved one.
Bobby resides in Boca Raton, Fl. He is the proud father of two children. His son, Brett, is a successful entrepreneur. His daughter, Carly, works in the media business.

I work with clients to examine areas that may have been ignored in the past, such as liability management, tax-minimization and estate planning strategies.Having worked in operations and wealth management at Shearson and then at Lehman, I learned "how to get things done" and also that each client's strategy is part of a much bigger financial picture. Specifically, I believe that the value of a financial advisor is best measured by what we help clients accomplish financially, professionally, and personally. I see myself as a client's "go-to" resource for any financial matter. I consider clients some of my closest friends.Today, I continue to focus on each client's primary goal, which is typically sustaining a comfortable and rewarding lifestyle in retirement. My role, in those cases, is to develop a risk-managed retirement strategy that accounts for a client's situation, ambitions, need for liquidity and other factors. Often, I help manage strategic assets for a business owner after he or she has sold their enterprise. As an investor, I believe in the long-term prospects of companies that I can identify early in their evolution.
