Omar Dinar
Omar works with a select group of clients to deliver an elevated client experience in terms of personalized engagement, bespoke built benefits and attention to detail. He began his career as a manufacturing engineer and project manager at Sikorsky Aircraft and then repurposed his unique perspectives and solutions delivery expertise in 2008 to embark on an 11-year career focused on highly complex risk and portfolio management.
In 2019, Omar joined Merrill to leverage his blend of engineering precision and risk management experience so that he could help clients to navigate complex financial challenges. His clients have found his engineering background to be an especially powerful asset as it delivers analytical rigor, 360 problem-solving skills, and an intellectually rigorous approach to portfolio management.
Committed to giving back to society, Omar serves on the board of Building One Community, actively volunteers with Shriners Children’s Hospital and also partners with Junior Achievement to teach financial literacy to children to help empower the next generation with essential money skills. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Board for the University of New Haven’s Transformative Leadership Program. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, and cheering on UConn basketball. Omar lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife, son and dog.
