Omar is committed to lifelong learning, holding a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Connecticut, an M.Sc. in Finance from Fairfield University, and an MBA in Management from Fordham University. He further advanced his expertise with an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from New York University, equipping him with a unique blend of technical, financial, and strategic knowledge to serve his clients.
Omar began his career as a manufacturing engineer and project manager at Sikorsky Aircraft, where he honed his analytical and problem-solving skills. Just before the 2008 financial crisis, he transitioned to Lehman Brothers, embarking on an 11-year career focused on risk and portfolio management. In 2019, Omar joined Merrill to leverage his unique blend of engineering precision and risk management expertise, helping clients navigate complex financial landscapes and achieve their long-term goals.

Omar lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife, Melissa, their son, Anthony, and their dog, Callie. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, and cheering on UConn basketball. Committed to giving back, Omar serves on the board of Building One Community and actively volunteers with Shriners Children’s Hospital. He also partners with Junior Achievement to teach financial literacy to children, helping empower the next generation with essential money skills.
