Ed joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in February of 2019, after 35+ years on the institutional side of Wall Street. He began his career as an equity position trader at Kidder Peabody. Eight years later, he was running the listed equities business for them. Shortly thereafter, he became the co-head of US Equities. Following Kidder's merger with Paine Webber in 1995, he ran the US Equities business for ABN AMRO Bank/Chicago Corp and then Cantor Fitzgerald's US Equity Trading business post 9/11.
Ed looks to leverage his Wall St experience in risk, research, and customer relationships with the large array of products and services here at the firm to meet the sophisticated wealth management needs of clients. In helping clients attain their long term financial goals, he strives to deliver a concierge level of service, utilizing the Firm's specialist expertise in investment management, trust and estate planning services, insurance, alternative investments, credit, etc...
To that end, he has recently entered into a partnership with the Dyer Group, one of Merrill's top advisory teams, that has decades of experience in these matters.
Ed holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 55, 63 and 66 securities registrations. He graduated with a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College, where he played on both the golf and basketball teams. He remains an avid golfer. He is a Founding Member of the First Tee of Connecticut, and a long time coach of travel basketball associated with the Greenwich YMCA. Ed and his wife Barbara have two adult sons living in North Carolina and New York City, respectively. They reside in New Haven, Ct.
