Jim began his career in the financial services industry in 1983, and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2015. His focus is on serving the unique wealth management needs of business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate executives— a dynamic group of clients with distinct financial needs, concerns and opportunities. He has a deep understanding of the often complicated financial needs of business owners and entrepreneurs — from financing and growing a business, to succession strategies, and employee benefits.
Jim's approach to wealth management is consultative and committed to excellence. First, he takes the time to listen and digs deep into client’s financial situations and goals, including their time horizons, liquidity needs and risk tolerance. Then, leveraging the investment insights of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and the banking convenience of Bank of America, N.A, he follows up with discussions covering a wide range of strategies and services, including portfolio management; stock option analysis; sophisticated retirement planning services; hedging and monetization of concentrated equity positions; wealth preservation and transfer services.
Jim is a specially qualified Senior Portfolio Advisor who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can draw from his experience to help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing custom investment strategies, selecting from a wide range of Merrill model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Senior Portfolio Advisor may manage those strategies on a discretionary basis.
