BACKGROUND
Ari Linder (they/them) thrives when they're allowed to put people first. Ari's large Italian-American family gave that foundational first career training:
- always treat family well, and
- almost anyone can instantly be welcomed as family.

Ari excelled in person-focused roles at the Human Rights Campaign, Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center, and NY-based nonprofit YAI while working to pay their own way thru Hunter College.
Finance found Ari after 13 years in nonprofits. Ari was shocked as friend described their work with families at Merrill Lynch. Finance sounded like a social work superpower. New college courses followed and Ari began working for Merrill in 2017.
TODAY AT MERRILL
Ari now leads a team of carefully-chosen professionals who also instinctively put clients first. Together they guide families and savers step-by-step toward a more satisfying future. Ari's infinite curiosity centers around finding balances. Budget for tomorrow while living life today, invest to earn while respecting your values, and learn new skills while adapting strategies to your own strengths.
No two clients are the same, but a large percentage consider themselves:

Thanks to Christine O'Leary stand-up comedy classes during COVID lockdown, Ari brings different joy to presentations and workshops. They've recently been a featured speaker for the American Bar Association's 2024 Spring Conference, the National Futures Association, several annual Out & Equal Workplace Conferences, Westport Library's OUTSpoken Storytelling event, and an interview for Yahoo Finance by the Debt Free Guys.
Ari likes to keep busy. Ari is a trans/non-binary Board Member for their local the Triangle Community Center and often leads new initiatives there. Weekend courses bring satisfying new insights to their Merrill work. They also enjoy Brandon Sanderson novels, playing Dungeons and Dragons, time with their Jewish cultural/spiritual community, and treasure-hunting for new food that's both gluten-free & dairy-free.
Their colorful condo in Connecticut includes partner Leo, 3 mischievous senior cats, and never too many houseplants.
