Joel Albers
Joel is a retirement actuary by background. He has over 15 years of experience working in various capacities with retirement plans. He stated his career with Willis Towers Watson (then Towers Perrin) where he was a traditional retirement consultant. He later became the in-house corporate actuary for Emerson Electric Co. From there, he joined Bank of America within the Workplace Benefits line of business as part of their defined benefit (pension) consulting team, and later became a financial advisor.
Joel’s received an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. He is an Associated of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He also volunteers with the Society of Actuaries as an elected member of the Retirement Practice Community Advisory Team.
