Profile

Brendan addresses the financial planning needs and resolves the complex investment scenarios of current and former business owners, executives, and multigenerational families. He leverages the full breadth of resources available through Merrill to offer meaningful advice in the fields of global wealth strategies, pre- and post-liquidity event planning, estate planning services, legacy planning and access to structured credit through Bank of America. In addition, Brendan brings extensive experience and acumen for identifying and providing access to unique alternative investment opportunities intended to complement clients’ core financial strategy. Brendan began his financial services career in 2010 and spent time at UBS Financial Services and Morgan Stanley, which included working as an analyst for private wealth teams, before joining the BHB Group in 2022. Brendan holds the Chartered Alternative Investment AnalystSM designation, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and the Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation. Brendan graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in financial services and studied at the University of Oxford on a GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship. Brendan is originally from Vancouver, Canada, and grew up living internationally in Scotland, New Zealand and other locations. He and his wife recently welcomed a son, so he has put aside his pastime of amateur boxing. “I enjoy helping business owners through each stage of the business cycle—from pre-seed funding to value acceleration to facilitation of a sale using the expansive resources of Merrill and the banking convenience of Bank of America. Whether it’s a sale, merger or acquisition, ESOP strategies, or recapitalization services, I can assemble the resources to help meet business owners’ evolving needs.”
