Gayatri Arumugam

Gayatri Arumugam joined Merrill in August 2026 as a Financial Advisor. With a warm, relationship-focused approach, Gayatri begins by listening carefully to understand what matters most to each client. She works with individuals and families, with a particular interest in serving doctors and scientists and helping clients develop personalized financial strategies centered on their goals and priorities.

Gayatri believes that health and wealth are two important aspects of a person’s life. Her desire to help others navigate the wealth side of that equation inspired her to become a Financial Advisor. She takes a proactive, collaborative and plan-forward approach, helping clients understand where they are today, where they want to go and how their financial strategy can evolve as their lives and priorities change.

Gayatri earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside and previously owned a tutoring business. Her educational and scientific background contributes to her particular interest in working with doctors and scientists. Her passion for education also carries into her work as a Financial Advisor, where she strives to help clients understand their financial picture, evaluate their choices and see how their financial decisions connect to the goals that matter most to them.

For Gayatri, financial advice is about more than investments. She believes financial literacy can help clients feel more informed and engaged in their financial lives. Above all, her goal is to build lasting relationships and be a trusted resource clients can turn to as they navigate financial decisions and different stages of life.

Outside of work, Gayatri enjoys dancing, spending time with her family and mentoring young people interested in STEM.
