Who do we serve?

A select, self-made clientele that is well educated, financially astute, and strapped for time. We admire these clients for their perseverance and commitment to others. They include successful women and men in traditional and non-traditional families – talented employees at firms in the technology and other expanding sectors, individuals nearing retirement, and couples experiencing divorce. We also help companies serve their employees with 401k plans and help non-profit organizations with their endowment management, trust, and banking needs.

How do we distinguish ourselves from other financial advisory groups?

• Acumen. Our clients face myriad decisions about managing concentrated equity positions, selling their enterprises, being tax efficient, planning for retirement, and creating a legacy. Working in concert with clients, and, often their CPAs and attorneys, we deliver an exceptional measure of knowledge and know-how – from investment and retirement planning, to tax minimization and estate-planning strategies.

• Availability. Clients are like family. We encourage them to call us 24/7 – even on weekends – whenever they have important questions on financial issues.

• Attitude. We treat clients like family members. And we know them exceedingly well. We share their joy and often are invited to celebrate milestones that we’ve helped make possible.

• Respect. To demonstrate our appreciation for clients and our shared values, we plant trees each year in their honor – one tree for each current client and one additional tree for every new client that comes our way. Next year, we will repeat this effort – planting one new tree for each client we serve.

• A defined, multi-step planning process. We need to appreciate a client’s passions, their purpose for investing, and the people they care about, in addition to their goals and concerns. We can act as responsible stewards of their wealth and wishes from a genuine understanding of a client’s mindset and motivations.

Having managed clients’ money and emotions through 2000, 2008 and 2020 volatility, we feel good knowing virtually all of those clients remain with us today and referred others. We believe that’s due in large part to our ability to mitigate investment risk. Still, our focus remains on clients’ lives, not only their bottom lines.

With our team members’ ages aligning nicely with those of clients, we’ve cultivated enduring relationships in which mutual interests and experiences make conversations comfortable, rather than a formality. Our diverse ages and backgrounds also help ensure the continuity of thought and awareness that younger clients and the “next generation” of clients’ families can find beneficial.
