David Waitrovich and team are deeply committed to helping clients employ their wealth to make a positive impact on their lives, their families, and the organizations and causes they feel strongly about.
David Waitrovich began his wealth management career in 1982; he joined Merrill four years later. David works exclusively with ultra-high net worth families. He and his fellow team members draw on their extensive experience and the resources of Bank of America and Merrill to pursue the goals of the family. As David says – “We do the math. We always run the numbers. Families find our disciplined, holistic approach very helpful in helping them make informed decisions, especially on important questions such as their income and cash flow planning”.
David has experience with a broad range of financial goals and issues. This includes entrepreneurs selling their businesses and preparing for life after the sale, founders of companies and venture capitalists owning large, concentrated amounts of stock in one company, senior executives of public companies navigating restricted stock units and options, and families going through all transitions of life, such as inheritance, death and divorce.
The “advisor to the family” relationship starts with a deep conversation clarifying the objectives and needs of the family. From that point he and the team do the analyses on potential strategies and outcomes. David is particularly adept in helping families identify their real-life goals. He offers a rigorous analytical review in assessing client investments, cash flow/income needs, tax-minimization strategies, and intergenerational wealth transfer vehicles. This is integrated with behavioral coaching designed to build skills in the family and help them practice positive techniques so their wealth lasts.
In 2022, Forbes awarded David a top-50 position in their “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” List (Published on April 7, 2022. Rankings based on data as of June 30, 2021).
