“Nothing is certain in life but death and taxes.” That still holds true, two-hundred and fifty years after those famous words were written. Now, I’m not opposed to paying taxes, local, state or federal, and neither was Benjamin Franklin. It’s our civic duty. What I do stand in opposition to is you paying an excessive amount of taxes from your hard-earned nest egg just because your investment accounts aren’t optimized for future taxes. With this goal of tax-awareness in mind, I help my clients design tax-efficient income streams, convert pre-tax funds into post-tax funds while diligently observing tax policy, and I also work to harvest tax-losses using hedge fund strategies and direct indexing to help offset future capital gains. Proactive tax planning strategies is my passion. I’m just as passionate about working with my clients’ CPAs to help ensure, prior to implementing any long-term tax strategy, that all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed.
