Louie Vargas

Louie A. Vargas is a Team Financial Advisor with the HQFV Wealth Management Group, providing investment advice and financial planning for business owners, families and retirees. He holds the Series 7, 66, 9 and 10 FINRA Registrations and is bilingual in English and Spanish. 

Louie began his career at Merrill in 2001, as part of the office management team servicing Ultra-High Net Worth clients in Merrill's Private Wealth Management office in Los Angeles, CA. In 2008, Louie became fully licensed to serve in a supervisory capacity as a Market Supervision Manager. In 2012, Louie left Merrill to pursue an opportunity at UBS supervising their International Wealth Management business. While there, he led a group of more than 60 people across California, Washington, and Texas, servicing international clients. Louie returned home to Merrill in 2020. 

The knowledge Louie has gained supervising wealth management businesses for over 15 years gives him a different perspective than some other Financial Advisors. He understands the importance of partnering with other financial professionals at Bank of America and Merrill to provide a client-centered holistic service model. 

Louie is the proud son of a Mexican immigrant mother, who also served 35+ years at Merrill before her retirement. He credits his mother for instilling in him the importance of building generational wealth and improving financial literacy in the community. He continues building on that responsibility by speaking to individuals about the importance of having a financial plan. Louie continues to give back to the community by helping others succeed. He serves as a leader in Bank of America’s Hispanic/Latino Organization for Leadership & Advancement (HOLA) and participates in their mentorship program. He has also served as a youth mentor in his local community for over 10 years. 

Louie is happily married and blessed with a beautiful son. In his free time, he enjoys being the family historian, archiving family recipes and working on a family tree dating back to the 1700s in Mexico.
