Philanthropy is an area Joan is passionate about, which has led her to fundraise for charities for over 15 years.
At Bank of America Merrill, she is involved in the executive women leadership team, Women Leading Los Angeles (WLLA), is a mentor for the Women's Exchange, serves on the Multi-Cultural Women Ready to Lead (MCWRTL) Committee, is a part of the Asian Business Council, and is a co-chair of the Leadership Development Program Committee (Mentorship Program) for the SoCal Asian Leadership Network. Additionally, Joan serves as a Board Member Intern for the Asian American Professional Association. She is also the Director of Internal Affairs and executive board member of her business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi - L.A. Chapter. On her free time, Joan enjoys playing tennis, golf, HIIT, hiking, and exploring L.A.'s culinary scene.
