Nissim Afriat is an Assistant Vice President and Financial Advisor with Merrill in Beverly Hills. Nissim works closely with individuals, families, and businesses, helping clients take purposeful action toward a more secure financial future. He offers the knowledge and experience he has gained from advising an accomplished clientele, connecting business owners, executives, and professionals to a differentiated caliber of advice and service.

 

Nissim believes that good financial decisions must go hand-in-hand with good life decisions. To this end, he supports clients in weighing multiple factors that impact their financial lives and legacies—personally, and professionally. A skilled problem solver, he welcomes the opportunity to delve into complex challenges, smoothing a path toward greater clarity and transparency. His areas of focus include tailored portfolio design, investment research, risk assessment, long-term strategy, and wealth transfer. He also provides clients with access to banking and lending opportunities through Bank of America, facilitating expedited answers for sophisticated lending needs. Clients look to Nissim for reliable and responsive service. He, in turn, prides himself on exceeding client expectations, prioritizing each person’s long-term well-being.

 

Nissim began his investment career in 2001 as a Trader for Jasper Capital. He then worked as an Assistant Buyer for Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital for a year before moving to Bank Leumi USA and Leumi Investment Services, where he spent more than eight years. At Leumi, he took on increasing responsibilities, ultimately becoming a Vice President and Financial Advisor. In 2012, Nissim became a Private Client Advisor with JPMorgan Chase, where he spent more than seven years. In 2020, he accepted a position with Merrill, where he now provides integrated advice to an accomplished clientele. Nissim earned his B.S. in finance from Touro College.

 

In his free time, Nissim serves as an Assistant Rabbi for the Shuvah Israel Torah Center in L.A. In this capacity, he enjoys counseling community members about their life decisions, family dynamics, and personal growth. Married with five children, he likes to spend time with his family.
I follow the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities we serve. This drives my interest in spending time volunteering with organizations in our community.
