John Cantleberry

John Cantleberry is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and enjoys working closely with individuals, families, and business owners to help align their wealth with their liquidity needs and financial goals, especially retirement. He enjoys developing a custom wealth plan for clients and then creates and reviews scenarios to simulate the impact on their financial lives and potential wealth. With over a decade in the Financial Services industry, he specializes in bringing investment and wealth management solutions that align with his client’s needs.John joined Merrill in 2017 as a Financial Advisor in Dallas, Texas.  Prior to joining Merrill, John served as President of a Private Equity fund for residential investment property.  He earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Kettering University, graduating Cum Laude.  John started his career as a Product Engineer for GM and held a variety of management positions at American Airlines, Siemens, and Corning. John also cofounded a residential real estate firm in Dallas, Texas, that purchased over 600 houses under his leadership and directed the business development activities of B2R Finance, a Blackstone company that financed investment property.  John’s broad experience helps him appreciate the complexities of each client’s wealth and offer solutions that are tailored to their unique situations and aspirations.   John and his wife, Jane, live near Lake Lewisville in The Colony, Texas.  Outside the office, John enjoys outdoor activities, fitness, golf, sports cars, electric vehicles, history and travelling the world.  He also enjoys giving back to the community and served on the advisory board for the Carr P. Collins Salvation Army facility in Dallas.
