Victor McLeod

Chip began his career in the financial services industry in 1993. He joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2007 as a Wealth Management Advisor and serves as Senior Resident Director of the Spartanburg Merrill office. Chip holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® certification, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.; the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor certification awarded by the College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp; and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor^® designation.  He received a BS in Financial Management from Clemson University in 1993, with minors in accounting and taxation and has also completed course work at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Chip was appointed in 2001 by the Governor of South Carolina to the Council of Advisors on Consumer Credit and still remains on the Council.  He is Past-President of the Spartanburg Estate Planning Council, Secretary of the Spartanburg Philharmonic Board, and the pianist for the Spartanburg Rotary. He also is a past board member of the South Carolina Council on Economic Education at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina.  Chip is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg.  His personal time is spent with his family, the outdoors, playing the piano and restoring classic cars.
