With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, I help families and business owners reach their financial goals by delivering Merrill's full suite of capabilities and resources. There is no greater honor than to earn a client's trust and that serves as the foundation to a lasting relationship. Along with trust, understanding what's important to each client, a personalized investment management strategy, holistic financial planning, fee transparency and proactive communication are key tenets of my practice.
My role is to assess each client's entire financial situation and ensure that they and their family are well taken care of. Whether a client is just starting their financial journey or preparing for the next phase of life, I want to be the advisor they can trust throughout the process. I offer a full spectrum of potential solutions including cash and portfolio management, planning for retirement, lending, banking, and tax efficient strategies in order to help my clients achieve what's most important to them.
Giving back is also important to me, whether it's through volunteering or making financial education more accessible. I feel privileged to share my time, knowledge and experience with anyone interested in managing their personal finances. My journey from a small, rural town in Vermont to Wall Street (and back again) has taught me a lot and I believe it's important to give back through mentoring younger generations.
Lucy joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2007 as an intern during her senior year of college. Upon graduation, she joined the firm full-time and became a Registered Client Associate. Prior to joining the SWP Group, she spent the last 10 years in various leadership roles focusing on advisor strategy. Highlights of her time in the home office include working with advisors across the country to strengthen their practices through teaming, creating a rotational internship program, fostering partnerships with HBCUs and college financial planning programs, and coaching the next generation of advisors.
Lucy grew up in Thetford, Vermont and graduated from Wagner College in 2007 with a B.S. in Business Administration. During her junior year, she spent a semester studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina which was a life changing experience.
Lucy enjoys getting involved in her community. She, along with several of her Merrill colleagues, volunteered with the New York Says Thank You foundation which rebuilds communities after natural disasters. New York Says Thank You was born from a child's idea to pay forward the kindness New Yorkers felt after the attacks of 9/11 and Lucy travelled to Iowa, Arkansas, Georgia, North Dakota and Oklahoma and helped with local rebuilding efforts in Long Island and Staten Island after Hurricane Sandy. While living in NYC, she also volunteered with New York Cares to plant trees and paint schools, Bike New York teaching adults and children how to ride a bike, The Bowery Mission serving meals to the unhoused and Room to Grow sorting through donations for families raising babies born into low-income circumstances.
After calling New York City home for 20 years, Lucy returned to the Upper Valley to be closer to her family and the outdoors. She currently serves as a Trustee on the board of Thetford Academy and loves to spend her free time with her family, doing yoga, hiking, skiing and biking. She also loves live music, travelling, puzzles, and spicy food.
